Lord in the midst of the current crisis help me to see your truth and your glory shining through.
Although all of our church activities have been put on hold through the spread of coronavirus, God’s work goes on – and that includes sending out our weekly news sheet. It is a bit different this week as you might expect but it sent to you all with God’s love.
17th March 5.30pm.
Aldwick Baptist Church remain committed to offering a safe environment in which our community can meet and worship in safety.
Following the latest government advice on avoiding unnecessary gatherings where the virus might inadvertently be spread, we have been advised by the Baptist Union to cancel all services and activities for the time being. This now includes Sunday morning worship.
From Monday, 16th March there will be NO CAFE CONNECT; NO COFFEE POT; NO COFFEE TIME; NO COMMUNITY CHOIR; NO LUNCH CLUB,; NO NEW LIFE GROUP; NO SUNDAY MORNING OR EVENING SERVICES, NO HOMEGROUPS and NO MESSY CHURCH.
We will keep the website updated as and when there is more information or a change.
As the Church office may not be staffed at all during the COVID-19 risk period, please either email or leave a telephone message and someone will get back to you.
If you are able, we would ask you to look out for your neighbours who may be in need of help. We strongly recommend that you make a note of their phone numbers, so that you can keep in touch without face to face contact.
More information about the COVID-19 virus can be found on the following websites:
As we approach the unknown through the ongoing spread of the coronavirus, thank God that He is present everywhere, even in the darkest places.
‘Lord, may I renew my commitment to pray regularly and with real concern for my community. Remind me of the effect of my interventions with You – that you listen, and that what I pray really matters greatly.’ Amen
As you read this, please take time out of your day, to plead before God for those you love who are not following Jesus.
After two weeks of torrential rain and high winds, you may well be feeling a bit down. If that applies to you, then stop looking at the weather forecast and fix your eyes on Jesus – the one God sent to save you and make you acceptable in God’s sight. The one who sacrificed HIs life for you and the one who is always by your side – whatever the weather.
This week, set aside some time out of your normal schedule to place before God anything in your life that you simply wished wasn’t there. Thank God that He is your fortress and in Him you can trust.
This week, why not pray that God will open your eyes to see more of His power at work in you and in the world around you? Perhaps then you will understand why we should really always stand in “awe of Him”.
