This week try to remember who invited you to go to church in the first place. What would have happened if they hadn’t asked you? Pause for a few minutes and then ask yourself Is there someone you should be inviting to church this week? If so then why not ask them?
This week try to spend a few minutes thinking about the things God has done for you in the past. Thank Him and be ready to receive more from Him.
This week, no matter what you are going through, spend some time thinking about this quote from Tim Keller, ‘Christ literally walked in our shoes.’ Jesus understands you better than you understand yourself because He suffered more abuse, more pain and more cruelty when He was here on earth than we ever will.
This week remember to ‘Run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith’ (Hebrews 12:1,2). This is especially true when the going gets tough!
